Appliance Care Tips
Keeping Your Rangehood clean
Rangehoods are great for minimising grease build up on kitchen cupboards, walls and ceilings however often we are unaware this grease builds up inside and on the alluminium rangehood filter.
This filter must be kept clean or you may find you are faced with certain dangers. Rangehood filters carry a range of bacteria and present a fire risk if exposed to high heat. A simple flame from something you are cooking below could ignite the oils that sit within a dirty filter.
Your filter must be washed periodically. Cleaning varies depending on the amount of cooking you do. If you cook very regularly you should clean your filter every 3 to 4 weeks, or for low use approximately every 1 to 3 months.
A great product to use to remove the grease is Rangehood FilterKleen. Rangehood FilterKleen is specifically formulated to cut through the grease & grime that accumulates in rangehood & canopyhood filters, without leaving behind any greasy residue. All you need is one application to remove the unhealthy build up in the filter.
